Senior cadet scholarship

Attention all AHS MCJROTC Senior Cadets! 

​

It's that time of the year again! The AHS MCJROTC Booster Club is excited to announce the commencement of applications for the AHS MCJROTC Scholarship for 2025. 

​

One mission of the AHS MCJROTC Booster Club is to provide financial support for MCJROTC Cadets attending college or trade school. We recognize the value of leadership, civic service, and promote academic success through development of these attributes in our program. The scholarship committee, made up of the AHS MCJROTC Booster Club Appointed Council, considers a student’s representation of

- leadership, service, and character. The amount and the number of scholarships shall be at the discretion of the AHS MCJROTC Booster Club Appointed Council. The scholarship funds are intended for institutional costs and fees for post-secondary education programs. This includes programs offered by accredited vocational-technical schools and two-year and four-year colleges or universities. Scholarship funds that have been awarded will be sent to the recipient’s institution approximately two weeks after proof of enrollment has been provided. These funds are to be used for educational expenses only.

Here are some important details you need to know:

***Application Period Ends: April 21, 2025***

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrolled in MCJROTC

  • Eligible for graduation in the current year

  • Attained at least a 2.00/4.00 cumulative GPA.

  • Taken the ACT or SAT

  • Parent/Guardian must be a current member of the AHS MCJROTC Booster Club

  • Not in the immediate family of a member of the AHS MCJROTC Booster Club Scholarship Selection Committee

 

Application Requirements:

  • Complete Scholarship Application Form (Under the scholarship tab on the MAIN MENU)

  • Submit TWO essays (minimum 250 words each)

    • What are your plans after high school?

    • What lessons have you learned in MCJROTC program?

  • Provide ONE letter of recommendation from AHS faculty member.

  • Provide ONE letter of recommendation from community member.

  • Submit proof of school enrollment

  • Submit proof of SAT/ACT score

  • Submit proof of 2.0 GPA or higher
