CALL TO ORDER: (President: Stephanie Lamb) Time: ___6:30 p,m,_____. 

Take Roll:  Jacqueline Contreras, Tonya Breaux, Dustin Breaux, Karen Wheeler, Stephanie Engolio, Kristel Herring, Jewel Ratcliff, Pennie LeBlanc, Sharon Silveria, Anthony Stark, Kristin Starkey.

Approved August Minutes 

 

PRESIDENT: 

  • Spirit Nights 

  • September 30 – Freddy's in Kingwood 

  • October 29 – MOD Pizza 

  • November 11 – Panera Bread 

  • December 11 – Chipotle 

  • Waiting on Freebirds and Jeremiah’s 

 

  • Committees: 

  • Zombie Run: Oct. 19th, We need volunteers to this committee.  T-shirts and vendors were discussed.  Sponsor letters were distributed.  Advertise in the community.  We have posters ready.  

  • Car Show: Spring Date, possibly will occur in April.  Sponsors and advertising is needed.  

  • Birthday Ball:  Prep work is done.  Need help with set-up and clean-up.  We are looking for a new venue next year.  

  • Scholarship:  Seniors will fill out an application in May.  Community members will select winners.   

  • IT/Website:  Mr. Breaux needs help updating websites.   

  • Yearbook:  Mrs. Eakin needs help taking/finding photos.  Save folders on One Drive folder for better quality.  

  • Audit:  Will take place in one year.  It is a district requirement.  May take about 30 minutes.  

 

  • Birthday Ball 11/9/24 

  • Cake update – Yummy Tummy will make the cake.  We will buy half the size that we had last year.  It will cost $295.00 and it will be delivered.   

  • Mr. Lamb presented the cake cart he made.   

  • Photographer: Two young ladies from AHS photography club have been hired to take photos.    

  • Guest speaker: Has not been secured. 

  • Guest speaker gift will be made.  A Lazy Susan costing $80 was suggested. 

  • Cadet Gift: We took a vote to decide how and what will be given to our cadets.  Glasses, water bottles and backpacks were suggested.  We voted yes to give cadets a gift with a value of no more than $10.00. 

  • Ticket sales will be capped at 200 in order to accommodate available venue space.  

 

  • Drill Meets 

  • October 26 -- Ridge Point HS  

  • December 7 – Travis HS 

  • January 11 – Brenham HS 

  • January 25 – Dayton HS 

  • Lunch ideas were discussed.  

Regionals will be virtual this year.    

VICE PRESIDENT: 

  • Zombie Run date change to October 19 

  • We are actively looking for sponsors.  Flyers are available to post online and at business.   

  • Help is needed with advertising. 

  • Parent volunteers needed on race day.  Parents needed on course, start line, finish line, for set-up and clean-up. 

  • Getting food trucks was suggested.  

  • Trophy designs were discussed.
