Meeting Agenda:
I. Welcome New Members
The President welcomed any new members.
II. Approval of September Minutes
Randy Ratcliff motioned to approve the minutes.
Dustin Breaux Sr. seconded the motion.
All members were in favor, and there were no objections.
III. President's Report:
Membership forms are available online; please complete if not done.
Raptor Report: Send an email copy to the President once approved.
Upcoming Drill Meets:
Oct 21st Dayton Drill Meet:
Breakfast tacos needed for Kristel, Dustin, Rita, and Stephanie. (15 tacos each)
Request for donations for burgers and snacks at the Dayton drill meet is posted on Sign-Up Genius.
Budget: $400 per Drill meet is acceptable.
Jan 13 Brenham Drill Meet
Jan 27 Dayton Drill Meet
Regionals at College Station
Booster Club Facebook page: Ensure you have joined the new page as all events are posted there.
IV. Committees Needed:
Review committee document and have sign-up sheets.
Dustin will add these to the website.
V. Marine Corps Birthday Ball (November 10th @ 5:00 PM):
Venue is booked.
DJ has been paid half.
Photographers needed (Rita will reach out to the person from last year).
Rita confirmed $300 for the photographer.
Cake design to be worked on by the Event Committee.
Catering by MiChief, costing $3500.
School bus provided for cadets without transportation.
Parent volunteers will be needed; sign-ups will be sent out soon.
Sign-Up Genius for volunteers and ticket link is on the website.
Linens: Venue provides white or red tablecloths; Booster club provides blue runners.
Volunteering Opportunities: Always check the calendar for cadet opportunities, including AHS football games, Pumpkin Patch Volunteers, Zombie Run on the 28th, and MBE on the 28th.
VI. Vice President's Report (Stephanie Lamb):
Update on Spirit Nights/Fundraising.
Zombie Run on October 28th: Discuss letters, sponsors, handouts, and runners.
Need a race committee meeting to determine remaining tasks.
Promote the event among cadets.
Still need sponsors, runner bag items, and runners.
Shirts provided by K&S; deadline for sponsors on shirts is Oct 13th.
Runner bags donated by K & S.
Runner Bag Stuffing Party on Oct 24; volunteers needed.
Zombie Run Signup sheet is available.
Cadets will attempt to gather restaurants for spirit nights.
Dustin will create a single point of data entry for Zombie run payment and registry for next year.
Runner Bag Stuffing on the 24th at 6:30 at the Fleming’s House.
VII. Treasurer's Report (Tonyna Breaux):
Treasurer's report was provided.
Vertical Raise: $13,760 ($11,008 after fees).
Request to approve one year of PO Box at $240.
Dustin motioned to vote on the PO box, and Randy seconded.
All members were in favor, and there were no objections.
VIII. Secretary's Report (Dustin Breaux):
Discuss Domain Change to Website: www.ahsmcjrotcbooster.org.
Vote on migration to the new domain; all old files and emails will be moved.
Randy motioned to migrate to the new domain, and Stephanie seconded.
All members were in favor, and there were no objections.
Raptor approvals should be sent to mcjrotc.secretary@gmail.com.
Storage has been moved to a much lower cost ($163 to $67), and all items have been moved.
IX. Instructors' Report (CWO and MGySgt):
Trailer registration needs to be paid; CWO4 provided information to the Treasurer.
CWO4 reminded everyone that $200 is needed for Marksman Postal Competition.
Dustin motioned to pay the entry fee, and Randy seconded.
All members were in favor, and there were no objections.
